Common Warning Signs of Fraud
You may be dealing with a scam if someone:
- Urges you to act immediately
- Requests your online banking password or verification codes
- Asks you to send money using gift cards or payment apps
- Claims to represent your financial institution and asks for personal information
- Tells you to keep the request confidential
Tampa Bay Federal will never ask for your online banking password, PIN, or one-time verification codes.

RISK Alert: Spoofing Texts/Calls
Please be mindful of fraud attempts through calls and text. As a reminder, Credit Union employees will never ask for your debit card pin number, CVV code, or expiration date. There are scams where people will pose as CU employees asking for sensitive account information.
