Contributing with our community!

The Mission of the Tampa Bay Federal Foundation is to facilitate corporate citizenship of Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union by raising and contributing funds to worthwhile charitable organizations within the local Tampa Bay community.

The Tampa Bay Federal Foundation was incorporated in 2004 and is a registered 501(c) 3 organization that believes in the credit union’s founding principle of “people helping people”. We have consistently been awarded the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Recognition Award for our involvement within our community.

The Dora Maxwell Award is presented by Credit Union National Association (CUNA) at the state and national level. Since its inception, the Tampa Bay Federal Foundation has donated over $100,000.00 for charities we believe support the Mission.

The following four organizations are the primary focus of the Foundation’s attention:

• The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life – Tampa Bay Federal’s employees volunteer to participate in fundraising and providing support at the actual event every year.
• Metropolitan Ministries – Provide care for the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. Tampa Bay Federal’s employees volunteer to participate in fundraising and providing support at actual events every year.
• Dale Schumacher – USF Scholarship Endowment Fund
• Hillsborough Community College Endowment Fund
