How to Apply for Employment

- Our Mission : Serving Members Changing Financial Needs - with pleasure

We believe our success begins with our associates. These instructions will give you some ideas of what to expect and how to proceed from here.
  • Be sure to fill out the application completely, even if you send us a resumé. Fill in all blanks! If a question does not apply to you, mark it "NA".

  • We verify all information you give us on the application. Any false or misleading statements will disqualify you from consideration.

  • We are committed to maintaining a Drug-Free Work Place.

  • All our operations are completely non-smoking establishments.

  • We will verify your employment references.

What to Expect After You've Applied
  • Based on a review of your application, we will contact you, either by mail or phone, within 72 hours about the status of your application.

  • If you are a candidate, you should expect additional interviews. We may ask you to demonstrate your skills, explain our purpose and tell us how you would handle some "sticky situations".

  • Typically, you can expect the selection process to take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks from the date of your initial screening interview.

  • Because our associates are actively involved in the operation of Tampa Bay Federal, do not be surprised to have portions of the selection process conducted by persons other than our managers.

  • If an offer of employment is made to you, it will be conditioned upon a criminal background check and passing a pre-employment drug screening examination. (Employment applications are retained for a period of 60 days).

  • We are an equal opportunity employer and we will select only the best suited applicant for each position.

  • We expect you to take an active role in your own success and the success of your co- workers. Part of your job responsibilities may be to help train your co-workers for positions of higher skill and responsibility.

  • Our success comes from exceeding our customer's expectations and building long term relationships.

  • If you are not offered a position, we will advise you promptly. We encourage you to apply again later if you are still interested in working with us.

Thank you for your interest and time. We wish you the best of luck in the future; in whatever direction your career may take you.

Compensation Philosophy

Tampa Bay Federal's success comes from exceeding our customer's expectations and building long term relationships with our membership and the people who serve them. Our success begins with our Associates. The expectations are high, but so are the rewards. Our Commitments to the Associates of Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union are to:
  • Maintain an environment which will attract and retain highly motivated employees to serve internal and external customers focusing on Our Standard of Excellence, "Creating predictably positive experiences which consistently meet or exceed customer expectations...every time."
  • Be recognized as an employer of first choice; providing excellence in our work environment, opportunities for education and professional development, individual and team recognition, and an innovative compensation/benefit program at 100% of market or better.

Our Expectations of the Associates of Tampa Bay Federal are based on our Core Values -
    Passion
    Diversity
    Integrity & Ethics
    Team
Tampa Bay Federal and its membership have high expectations of our Associates. We expect our service partners to take an active role in their own success, the success of their team and the organization.

  • We expect a commitment of 100% effort, directed toward $15K ATR and companion benchmarks and goals. Look for ways to improve processes and the organization. Just because we've always done it that way, doesn't mean it's the only way or the best way.
  • Embrace the learning opportunities offered. Professional and personal development takes many forms. Get involved, volunteer for committees, Business Priority Teams and Community Service events. Seek, receive and provide feedback to improve performance. Success is measured by results, not just activities. Ask for advice, guidance, coaching on ways to be the best you can be.
